11. Are You Really a Temple?

What are “you”? Your body, eyes, fingerprints, DNA, the way you sound, the way you walk — all those things are uniquely you. Your personality is made up of countless characteristics, traits, habits. Nobody looks out and sees the world just like you do. Nobody comes to identical conclusions.

You are unique in all these things, but they are not the entire “I.” The “I” is something that is higher than your body and mind.

When you say, “I think” or “I go,” who is the “I” that compels your thoughts and body forward? The source of this “I” is spiritual and your tremendous inherent power will dawn on you when you realize the true source and nature of the “I.”

Humans are in touch with two worlds and we know very little about either one. The outer world of objects reaches into infinity, but it is only measurable up to the point that our five senses can perceive it. The universe does not stop at the edge of what we can measure. Radio waves don’t stop at the edge the radio dial. The sound vibrations continue past the point where technology leaves off. Likewise, the “I” continues on past the edge of perception.

The vast outer world that we can measure is just a tiny pinprick in theĀ  unseen universe. The infinite inner world begins just on the other side of what we usually perceive.

Vibrations of light and sound my be too fast or too slow for our five senses to register, but they still exist as energy. This energy can be defined as infinite, except that is a bit deceiving because time and space are constructs we use to make sense of our physical world.

Philosophers use the term Omni to try to explain the breadth of the universal intelligence that is everywhere and everything always: omnipresent, omniscient. Even the definition of Omni uses concepts of time and space, because our physical minds are locked into those constructs. We don’t have any words or pictures to accurately describe the Divine.

Similarly, we don’t have any words or pictures to accurately describe the true “I.” All we can say is that we are part of infinite and eternal energy from which all things proceed.

Our bodies and minds are comprised of this infinite and eternal energy in every cell, atom, electron, vibration. The eternal energy is a living and creating intelligence.

Jesus said: “Don’t you know you are temples of the living God?”

When you grasp this and dwell on it, you will feel humble and honored to be alive and aware, and sacredly powerful.

The Third Meditation

Relax your body and focus on the here and now. Pay attention to any tense places and relax them. Realize that your body is a temple for the Living Creator. Realize the Creator is the magnetism that holds your atoms together. Breathe in and infuse your temple with the presence of the Creator. Stay focused on this one thought as long as you can. Finish your meditation by inhibiting thought and sitting with your mind still.

3. This is Your Birthright

Here is a seed of thought for you to consider.

The Life Force is always recreating everything in the universe, including you. It is the Power that keeps everything from scattering into a trillion chaotic pieces, and it is everything. It is good for you to get in tune with it.

The Force is everywhere on all dimensions and realities into infinity for ever. It is a vibrating energy that keeps you breathing, and it is the breath itself.

It animates every atom of your body, and it is the atoms themselves.

Good things happen when you sit still and acknowledge the amazing power that’s holding you together. Like water that rushes into any small channel available, the Force naturally flows to and through people who want to get in tune with it.

Create a tiny channel in your being by thinking about the Life Force inside you. It wants to express itself through you. It is pure light, life, and love. It will make the channel bigger, just like water.

The Force is your birthright. It gives you life and will bring abundance too, depending on the degree that you create space for it. It wants to express itself through you.

The Meditation

Make time each day to focus on being a willing channel for the Force. The small seeds you plant by going inward and focusing your mind on the Force will bloom and grow in your life. It is the same Power that makes nature abundant.

Continue to take 15 minutes a day to still your body and relax every muscle. Appreciate the Sacred Force that is in you, and that is you. Stay relaxed and appreciative. You will see that good things start to click into place.
